1228708 1227730 1227749 1227730

tested all of the above.

1227730 can run 2 p/h injectors 1 tbi injector 6 high impedence injector o 8 high impedence injectors

1227749 can un 4 p/h 2 tbi 6 high impedence injectos and 8 high impednece injectors

1228707 can run same as 1227749
1228708 can also run same as 1227749

biggest problem to date 1228707 and 1228708 i need to try with another ecm is getting a ref signal. checked all the other IO and everything works just fine. however with the ecm ive been using anytime the rpm input signal from the ecm comes in something seems to go nuts. the injectors operate irradically and the ALDL does not display the rpm. there is also no est operation and no 5v high on the est enable/bypass line.

Im thinking this might be an ECM

othe things nessacary to run the 1228708/708 are setting it up like a 27c128 even when using the 29c256 do not double the bin and do not offset the bun 4000. hopefully ill be able to get another ecm to test with tommorow and get this soted out finally.

just keeping folks up to date. any body had a similar expericne. ??

Thanks for the update! I'm looking forward to you getting the 1228707 working correctly as a 1227749 with everything working and thanks for the tip on how to burn the bin to a 29C256...

As far as I know, aren't TBI injectors Peak and Hold!?!
That's how we run'em at my company (small aftermarket EFI company).

Wait, what's a TBI injector 6?

I see from the ECM wiring schematics that there is a 1x and a 2x going to the ECM from the IDI (igntition) module. Will it not work without the 1x? That is all I can figure.

Just lloked a bit more into the 1x stuff. It is what it sounds like, a signal that the ECM sees once per engine revolution. it let's the engine know which injectors to fire. Sort of a semi-sequential setup, but with 2 pairs, not four singles. 1 and 4 are a pair, as are 2 and 3.

at first i had considered that. but i do not think that it is a problem with the low ref line considering that the low ref line is in fact a ground. i tried to run a normal rom for a 2.4 quad 4 in the ecm asnd had the same issue even when generating the proper singals with an idi module. im am looking for a good ecm now.
