How do I increase fuel delivery when not in PE mode?
As you might know, I'm have a '87 MAF car and a 395 stroker motor that I am tuning. I'm using the stock 165 ECM with the 6E definition file.
Problem: when I slow down alot to turn a sharp corner and then try to accel out of the corner at moderate throotle (I'm not in PE mode), the engine bogs down alot and just wont pick up. I think that I'm lean.
So, how do I get some enrichment at low and middle RPMs with the 6E?

It will then continue to pull fuel . . .
You also say that you 'think' it is lean. Need to data log this event.

Rbob,
Thanks for the reply. It always seems like you are the one to help me out. I really appreciate it.
I realize that I need a wide band O2 sensor to tune this engine properly. In the short term, I will rely on the seat of the pants. The engine stumbulls (sp) alot at part throotle but while accelerating. The engine just seems flat.
I have lowered the TPS value to enter PE and several other changes. For example, I thought that the engine was consuming too much fuel just for drivibg around and occasionaly stabbing the throotle. So I set the AFR at 15.0 in the constants table. I think that was in part to blame for the lazy engine. I have put it back to 14.7, and made numerous other changes, like to the LV8 accel enrichment (AE) vs coolant temp table.
Also, I have adjusted the detent cable. With the latest Eprom and adjusted TV cable, the engine is coming alive, more so with each new Eprom.
BTW: I have done alot of work on this engine tuning stuff. For example, so as not to turn the idle adjustment screw out about 4 turns for proper idleing, I have drilled 2 3/32" holes in the TB plates, one each plate. Now the engine will idle nicely with the idle screw out 1-1/2 turns with low IAC counts. Also, I found my vacuum leaks. So things are coming around for me, slowly but surely.

i would actually disable PE and work with your maf tables until you get your blms 126/130 range then enable PE and use a wide band oxygen sensor to get that squared away..
leave your AFR at 14.7 the stock o2 sensor wont work at anything other then 14.7
its getting poor milage because its probably going rich at times and entering PE alot is NOT going to help this
