tunerpro takes longer to boot w/registration?
Hey guys...
did anyone notice that tunerpro takes a good amount longer to load once they registered the program?
I'm using this on a 400mhz pentium, running win98, pretty barebones, just tuning software, and office, really the only stuff added.

I didn't really notice a difference but it may be looking for the hardware.
FYI, disable "Office" fast find indexing.
It can cause delays while it builds catalog lookup information from the disk.
Never helped me find anything faster anyway

My TunerPro seems to boot slower when I have the AutoProm hooked up, but I'm sure that's just because it's initializing the hardware and loading the program at the same time. With the AutoProm unhooked it doesn't seem any different.

Yes, hardware is detected at tunerpro initialization, but this happens regardless of registration.
There is absolutely no (read: zero) reason why tunerpro would start slower when registered. Nothing different happens when you're registered, other than bypassing the opening "register because you're nice" dialog box.

OK guys, thanks for the info, I may have some spyware/adware crap that is affecting this too, I might try reloading the software again too, maybe the download wasn't the best either, who knows.
