Another very basic question

I've been compairing the bin on my chip with a stock one and I've found several differences. The one thing I can't seem to find is how you increase/decrease the A/F mixture. I would think it would jump out at me, but I must be missing something. Also is it just me or does there seem to be very few CL variables that you can modify. As always....TIA

If your talking about the 42 Mask, then you have the VE1, VE2 tables, as well as WOT AFRs. Along with the BPC. If your using the Tunercat demo the first three items are in the table area, and the BPC in the constants.

in tunercat it offers a "stoich". was set at 14.7/1. i moved to 14.2/1. i am uncertain if that "commands" a different A/F in CL. I have no cat.conv....

That will change the AFR needed for learn enable. Like if your open loop AFR around that temp is 14.7:1 it must now be 14.2:1 for closed loop. Although none of the stuff in the ecm or the O2 itself is calibrated for anything other then 14.7:1. The better solution is to run open loop all the time and spec whatever AFR you want and tune it in with the WB.

EDIT: made corrections.

You need to set the O2 limits to then match the new commanded Stoich.. Then when in PE the commanded PE AFRs will also line up.

It'll take some time to get the all correct. Not to mention you'll have to have a WB to know where your at.

I'm playing with both Tunerpro and Tunercat and I seem to like Turerpro a little better.

If you haven't guessed, I'm still trying to figure out what each variable does and how it interacts with other variables. I read MANY threads every night while I have tunerpro open and my current bin open to consult. More often than not I'll also have Tunercat open with a stock bin loaded.

I feel like I've been dropped into an advanced calculus class knowing nothing more than basic math.

it will take awhile for things to make sense, Eventually lts like a jig saw puzzel piece by piece it becomes more clear, It will Really make more sense when you actually start Burning chips and tuning car. I started almost a Year ago and have swaped form a 870' ECM (no support) to a 165' and starting tuning it when I have a bad Maf sensor well it cost me the same to upgrade to SD so I have to Learn the 730 $8D stuff now. Keep with it and it will pay off.
