IAT in the TunerPro datastream???
IAT in the TunerPro datastream???
I'm looking to be able to see my IAT sensor output in my datastream using my laptop and TunerPro RT. I looked at both the 730 and 749 ads files and niether has a paremeter for this.
I want to be able to measure intake air temperature under boost and instead of adding a sensor for this in the air duct, I wanted to use the factory sensor which is already there for this reason and in a better place IMO...
Thanks!

No, he means use the .DS file from ALDLStuff.zip for your application, look at the MAT sensor lookup table, and add the table to your TunerPro .ADS file. ;-)
Look at the 1227165_6E.ads file as an example.

Got it
I'll take a look and try to figure it out tonight.
Thanks!
EDIT: Help
I found what .DS file to use, found out what byte number and added this field to the 730.ads file. Now I'm lost. You said it ouputs it as an "ADC" count whatever that is. How do I set it up to convert it to degrees? F would be nice but I'll do with C....
I looked at the 165.ads like you said and couldn't find an MAT variable in it to go by.
Here is a screen of what I have so far for my 730 ads:

in the 1227165_6E ads file, look under the lookup tables. You'll notice two tables - 1 for deg C and 1 for deg F.
Then look under the constants and look for "Manifold Air Temp (MAT)". Notice how, under the lookup table option, it references one of the tables.
Mimic that in your ads file. For table information, reference the .ds file for your application in aldlstuff.zip. That said, I think the MAT lookup tables are the same for $6E and $58.

Alright, I think I understand what you are saying but something is wrong. Both the 165.ads and the 749.ads have nothing when I click on "Lookup Tables". However oddly enough, the 730.ads does and it actually shows "MAT Lookup Table (Deg C)" and "MAT Lookup Table (Deg F)".
I'm confused on what's going on?
For the 730.ads I guess I go to where I showed in the abvoe pic and at the bottom simply choose "MAT Lookup Table (Deg F)" from the dropdown and I'll be good. However I still need to figure this out so I can do this for my $58 ads file...

thats the table I'm talking about. Don't know why the others dont. $6E should have it too. Chances are your 1227165_6E.ads file is old.

I think so. Was hoping you'd do what I recommended (look at the tables in the .ds files) and figure that out. You probably can.
But not copy-paste... you'll have to enter the table manually into the 749 ads file.

Alright, thanks!
1 last question. How come when I select that lookup table from the dropdown menu for the MAT ouput I added, I save the file, reopen and nothing is selected in the dropdown anymore?
Nevermind, I see where I need to select an option "use lookup table"...
Thanks!

OK, final thing I promise :lala:
Here is a copy of the MAT Lookup Table (Deg F), I just want someone to look over it and see how accurate it is. I don't quite trust it because right off I saw a mistake, you'll see it in bold below:
ADC count / Deg F
0, -40.00
4, -22.00
5, -13.00
8, -4.00
10, 5.00
14, 14.00
18, 23.00
24, 32.00
30, 41.00
37, 50.00
46, 15.00 (Why the sudden jump down?)
56, 59.00
66, 77.00
78, 86.00
90, 95.00
103, 104.00
116, 113.00
129, 122.00
141, 131.00
153, 140.00
163, 149.00
174, 158.00
183, 167.00
191, 176.00
199, 185.00
205, 194.00
211, 203.00
216, 212.00
221, 221.00
225, 230.00

239, 275.00
241, 284.00
243, 293.00
255, 392.00
Also what's the hottest temp I should expect right before I get dentination under boost? What would be a normal temp for a N/A car?

yes, looks like it should be 55. Once again, consult the .ds file and confirm.
Tuned properly, you shouldn't get detonation under boost or any other conditions.

I doubled checked all the values just for my piece of mind and I found a few mistakes I just want to post so anyone reading this later will know:
Corrected Values:
ADC count / Deg F
46, 59
56, 68
242, 293
243, 302
