Need help datalogging in Chicago area
OK, I have tried and tried and tried to datalog with the Autoprom, my laptop, and all the cables that I think I need. I am still having problems connecting to the ecm with ecm852 software.
Can someone in the Chicago area that knows how to do this help get me started PLEASE? I have all the equipment and software I need I think.......

Datamaster works with your application, at least until I fix TunerPro (which won't be for a bit). I know datamaster is a bit expensive, but I believe you have 30 free launches.

Moates software should? work as well.
What cables are you attempting to link to the car with?
Try posting this up on the nw in/south chicago regional board :-)
I dont have alot of free time right now, but there are a couple other tuners in the area very near to you. Could try with their stuff to see if u have hard/software issues.

There is another thread (i'll try to find it) where I recommend a switch may be placed into the ALDL line to isolate the CCM during times one wishes to data log.

Try Craig's 851 software. I never was able to get the 852 to connect either, but the 851 works like a champ.
Can you please send me ECM851? Or is ECM850B the same?
