Crazy data logger idea at SEMA

Check out this data logger for imports released at the SEMA show:

I wonder how hard it would be to make something like this for our cars. Any word on the palm data logger for ours cars? It would be great to have a small LCD screen mounted somewhere with engine specs.

Not Palm but Pocket PC would be the platform to use...

I also thought so at first but now that I use a laptop I'd never use a PPC for anything other than just doing a quick scan for codes or other basic things...

I like using my laptop better because using TunerPro or Datamaster and the ZT-2 on one screen is a big plus. I bet that the cost is not that much different. Most of us already have a laptop so cables and software is cheap. Add about $325.00 and you can have a WBO2 with EGT, RPM, and TPS on the same presentation. Looks like with the GB stuff you have to tab through several screens to get datalog info.

I prefer a laptop also but it would be nice to have a small screen mounted in the car somewhere that could be on at all times.

Yeah , my laptop is usually my shotgun rider anyway so I'll stay with that.
