Stock Motor With Modifed Bin
Hi All,
I have a L98 and a 700 R4 pretty much stock. What I bought was tunercat and i've been programming for about a 6 months now.
I was wondering if there is a user out there that can share a couple good tweeks i can add to my ecm. like what kind of timing changes/ air fuel / bhal bhal. I'm not very computer savey so i really suck at searching through the boards. Or Anyone out there have a ECM 32_B with modifaction to it?
thanks

Long story short, u want to try and get your blm to 128 across the board.
As far as timing goes, I would start with where you are seeing knock counts, this is kind of tricky because the actual knock starts before you see it. Which leads back to getitng your blm's to 128.
Start with the fuel and then work with the timing, just remember, a good rule of thumb is more timing = leaner and reducing timing tends to make it richer.
Also the ultimate judge of what is too much and /or too little timing is some way of testing it. Like test and tune at the track and/or a g-tech or the like. As long as you are not seeing knock/detonation, shoot for the timing that gets u the best mph or the fastest from say 45-80 mph(for no wheel spin).
This is a greatly simplified version, but it should point u in the right direction.
The stickies at the top of this board are there for a reason. It is the information contained in them :-)
Also,
ing here is your best friend as we have many contributing members who always love to share their 2 cents and have made this site a wealth of info for us tuner guys.

Hi Thanks for the tips. About getting my blm to 128 across the board. how do I do that? I think I might need a logging tool, because all i can do is pull out the memcal and put it into my pocket programmer then program with tunercat. Is it possible I can log data to my bin file with the tools tunercat and pocket programmer or will i need something else? If so how much and where can i get it from? I'd like to hope that my bin can store the data somehow. I'll check those stickys out too.
thanks alot
thanks alot
