Adjusting timing 8746

I currently have my timing advanced 4 degrees across the board and I just got my new radiator installed so I'm ready to max this poor 305 out. Currently I am getting zero knock on accel just a few on decel and cruise-control. I am not exactly sure how to sculpe the timing tables can I get some helpful links?

Also looking at datalog, how can I remove the I have knock?

Okay if I have knock that I need to remove do I

1. Remove timing from the time in which knock occurs (ie. kc goes from 5 to 7, do I change the timing from that rpm/ map at the row with kc 7)

or

2. The row before the knock occured (ie. kc goes from 5 to 7, do I change the timing from that rpm/ map at the at the row with kc 5)

or

3. Some weird formula that really isn't a formula but gets the job done.
