Cylinder Volume Calculation

Someone running a 383 with $8D E-mailed me with some problems and I asked if I could help him out.

I identifed two problems, knowing he was running a stock AUJP bin:
1. Injector Constant - He has 24# injectors.
2. Cylinder Volume - Set to 713 cc/Cyl

I found this cool on-line calculator that converts cubic inches to milliliters: http://www.metric-conversions.org/vo...illiliters.htm

Well, 713 cc/Cyl is actually closer to 348 cubic inches; but I suppose is close enough to not make a difference on a 350.

A lot of people run a 30 over 350. So I was wondering would running a 355 ci be affected by not changing the constant? It calculates to 727 cc/Cyl. Or is it too small an amount to really matter?

I told him to set his Cylinder Volume constant to 785 ccc/Cyl for his 383 cubic inch engine and his injector constant to 24 and make sure the pressure was set correctly.

Any thoughts on the question above? Ed www.edgesz28.com

Im running a 727cc/cyl and 24lb injectors, my BLM & INTs work real well. seems to be happy with the adjustments. Before, it would act real screwy, under compensate, over compensate, etc. Having your constants correctly calabrated makes tuning easier.

Same here when my BPWC was off with the 312 and had 9C1 injectors in it.
