Newbie need ALDL help

I have the ALDL cable and WinAldl. I hooked it up to that car this morning. The RAW data comes right up. It doesn't seem that the rest of the spark counts ,etc. show up. I have a 92 Chevy Caprice Wagon with a 350TBI that I am working on. I used the 1228746 code as reccomended by from TBIchips.com.

Also, on the top of that page where the little "box" is it kept flashin 23. Does that mean anything??? Can comeone read the data by any chance? I'd like to figure this out. I called Brian today and his machine says he's gone to the 27th.

I can email the blm and log just in case! THANKS.

the number is the number of items in the data stream IIRC.
Should be working fine if you have a number there.

The number there is the "23". It shows the raw data just fine still. It doesn't show ANY info on all the other test tabs.(02,sensor,etc) Is there a reason why or any ideas???? Also, is there somewhere I can find what data each should have? Like where the number range should be?? Thanks.

You need to use the 16144288 in WINALDL for it to work properly, not the 8746.

IIRC the 8746 is for TBI Bcars from 88-90 ('brick' Caprice).

The 16136965 (6965 for short, as used in the 'whale' 91-93 TBI Bcars) requires the 4288 in WINALDL. HTH.
