You can simply swap to the $58 code and use it for boost.
No ecm swap necessary unless you want more than 800 or so HP.

To replace PROM $8D on PROM $ 58 - I correctly has understood?
And it is necessary to replace 1-bar MAP on 2-bar MAP?

Dig around here http://www.cruzers.com/~ludis/ to find a pin list for a 727/730 and just use the 730 to 749 pin swap list. But use the 727 pinout instead.
Not very many wires need moved to allow running a $58 bin on a 730. Once you research it a little, you'll see the wiring is the easy part.
