Does your $58 actually work?
Does your $58 actually work? I mean as a street driven vehicle.
Where it actually gets good mileage, and feeds the boost requirements. Not the "it runs, but still needs tweaking"
I have all the parts for a $58 setup, I'm just used to aftermarket systems. (MoTeC, Haltech, EMS) They are very easy to setup and tune.
Never played with GM OEM stuff. I like the idea of OEM reliability and easy acess to replacement parts.
Help me talk myself into it. Thanx

no, mine doesn't work.....still tweaking. I kind of grew up on GM ECMs so I learned to do it the hard way. If you have experience with good aftermarket ECMs then you probably wouldn't like messing with the OEM factory stuff. It is like Grumpy said, there is a lot more in the code than making max HP and running it as well as it could be. If you like learning about ECMs and how they try to run things then the OEM ECMs are fun.

Mine works fine, but there is always some thing to test to se if the car runs better..

Mine came from the factory with $58.
Although with any tuning, factory ecm, aftermarket, etc there is always something more you can do, try, hack, etc.
If someone told me they had there tune 100% perfect, I would suspect they also have a PERFECT paint job. Both of which do NOT exist.
