Truck ECM

If any of you have noticed the Weiand 144 is for the truck TBI.

Is the truck ECM a bolt on to our cars? (Wont need harness changes)

I might be able to answer your question! I use a 1992 Van harness in my Van which used the 299 ECM. The pinout of the 299 is the same as the 1227747. The major stuff is the same. I only added 2 wires when running the 8746 car ECM (1990 Caprice 9C1 ECM). That was the IAT sensor and the Power Steering Pressure Switch. Everything else was a direct swap.

Think its easier to tune the truck ecm over the 747?

Shouldn't the weiand 144 be a direct bolt on once the conversion was done?

Also note that there is going to be a boosted version of the EBL code. Been running a 2-bar MAP on the ElCamino for several days now. . .
