EST 2 Step
Has anyone used a MSD 2 step rev limiter on the EST line?. Or even thought of it?.
Or does anyone know off hand if the EST signal needs inverted, or would just raising it to a 12v level be enough? (obviously pre, and post the MSD box).
The DIY Prom part is having the ecm control the 2 step.

Basically re-wrote some qualifiers to make the car think it was in first gear up to say .2mph. From there it would take the 2 gear rev limitors.
On a side note.. do you have documentation on your 8D work? I've got some cool ideas for a little used platform and was hoping to learn from example on alot of what you did.. I never could find 1 spot to read all about what you did.

We have so much documentation we had to institute a filing name format. We kept confusing each other and ourselves.
My posts usually point to what I used to figure out how to do something. The only tricky one I did was on the alternate rpm scale. Of course I then found the same code in a stock GM in bin. Most of my work shows up as corrected or expanded comments in the aujp hac.
E-mail me
So you just used a staged fuel cut for a 2 step rev limiter.
The math behind the usage of the VSS is what I'm mainly interested in.
Bruce, would you happen to have a diagram for a 2 step install. I suspect your just looking to see if anyone else has already done it. And you've already started testing it by now.
