Ok, how does everyone else put em' in???
Well its been a reading type of weekend the prom burning/tuning side.
I am curious to how everyone else puts their flash chips in their ecms?
I solder the 1,2,26,27,28 pins together in mine and nip off the 1,2,27,28 pins and reinstall in ecm and solder back the other 24 pins the board. Granted it cuts my chip size back but I still get the FLASH ability.
So now I'm kinda curiuos to see what other folks do to? Always a better way to build a mouse trap. Only thing with me is I would like to be able to keep the use of the original access cover installation. If you have post or links let me see too PLEASE.

Yes Grumpy, that is it. I just wanted to see how others are installing their flash chips (mine is a 27sf512) into their ecms.
I un-soldered the original 24 pin gm socket , then got a 28 pin dip from Moates's.net, jumpered the pins as stated and then intalled new 28 pin soclket into old 24 pin socket and soldered back in. Now I'm using the flash chip.
There has to be more than this way to do this? So I was just asking to see if there was a more better way to go about it thats all.
