Action - Reaction in a 7747 or 4288

OK, everything is starting to click, however so slow. But can some one lead me in the direction of where to find what happens when you "adjust this setting " and in turn will affect "this setting here" in either the 7748 or the 4288 ecms?

For example; If I make a BLM adjustmet , it directly affects VE1 and VE2 directily. So from what I was reading in the stickys is even if you move the VE's you backdoor the BPW setting.

Example 2 When you adjust one of the spark bias/retards in the constants table it will directly affect the Primary spark table , and on its own no doubt.

I would like to make some sort of flow chart or connecting chart so I will know if I set this to go back and adjust other things as needed. There is a real action/reaction with the crank cool stuff to rpms and maps tooooo. Hell even grouped items would work to , to know if you mess with anything in a group will make you readjust another.

All this is because I'm kinda in a pickle. See I still run fuel only so the spark tables mean nothing to me for now.......OR do they???I found if I mess with certain "RPM" perameters it affects me.
I also dont use any egr stuff, I have it turned off up in the constants........But now I see where the " % EGR vs load vs rpm" in the prom is the actual o2 sensor setting......GREAT! mine are maxed out on entire table set to all "FF's"

And last like the TCC settings what do they have an affect on , I dont even have a speed sensor or a auto tranny so if I just delete them off my XDF file for now will it hurt me somewhere else?????

I did do searchs too,but only seem to come up with the hac stuff and where things are located on the eprom and not the cause and affect of each of the tables and constants. As always thanks in advance for any info.

If you're looking for specifics it not there
There are several papers written that explain "concepts" of operation but few that will be the exact combo you are looking for.
Tracing your exact code mask and understanding what it actualy does is the only was for you to have a complete picture.
Like you said, changing VE will have effect on BPW.
BPW is just that, the "base" number. Everything after that is a modifier to that value up to the point it is output to the injectors.

747 just happens to be the item RBob wrote alot of good info on IIRC.
I think they are linked in the stickys.

Also looking at the P4 document gives some insight to each item but here again, different code does different things specifically.
Everything is kind of reletive in operation, just little nuances to each depending on the programmer it seems.

the biggest differences are how SD works compared to MAF, N/A vs. Boosted.
Try to use the info for what type of system you have so confusion doesn't set in.

Not in the Guide book, but I did find them here.

Yeah , Kinda figured that. I also did read alot of the stuff on those pages too but they mainly just gives address's though. I did start to see a trend with some of settings I was making on ostrich but I really need to start a file or notebook or better yet a spread sheet like grumpy keeps on his stuff.

It just threw me for a loop when I read that the o2's main setting was smack in the middle of something that I have or thought I have turned off. (the egr stuff) It still works or at least I log it (o2 senser) or see it when I'm running aldl and scanning but not sure if it's giving me a bad inputs to ecm or if something may be wrong?

Anyway , I'm gonna make a big change this weekend to see if it corrects alot of my stumbling. Gonna convert the HEI to the igniton control module and give the ECM the control. And as always thanks for the info.
