WinALDL - Rich flag, slow O2 flag?

WinALDL - Rich flag, slow O2 flag?
I originally posted in "DFI and ECM" but haven't had any responses yet, so I'm posting here too...
I had my first experience with datalogging with WinALDL last week. (1227165 ECM) Can anyone explain the rich flag, and EECC slow O2 rich/lean flag to me? Should they be coming on and off all the time?
Also, the car idled high as soon as I plugged in the cable (above 950) - is this normal for ALDL 10k mode?
