waiting for a tranny filter to arrive. And since I can't start it to play with the tune, how about a question to let the people just getting started in tuning know that self-tuning isn't a quick cure all. How many hours do you think you have in your current tune?

I would say that I'm rapidly approaching the 20 hour mark, and I just starting to understand O/L, idle and fueling, and I still have to timing and the spark curve to tackle.

Doing anything technical these days takes time.
Not to mention it even takes longer to do things correctly, or optimise something as complex as engine management, and DRIVER'S preferences.

BTW, you should have tried doing any of this, say 7 years ago. It's become much easier in the last few years compared to what it used to be like.

I don't even want to think about how many hours that I have invested in research and reading. I wish that dang filter would hurry up and get here so I can start playing with my Prominator again!
