Is there a variation in the Memcals, or the ECM's from 86 to 89? A friend had tuning issues with his car, he has an 86 ecm, 88 memcal with a Zif socket (was a hypertech chip he gutted), and was running the ARAP.bin. The car wouldn't turn tires from a dig and generally ran like crap *but ran none the less*. After doing some bin trials with the 32 and 32B ecu file, and an 88 Iroc .bin the car now works as it should. I'm just wondering what could have happened here. The 86 bin didn't help, and the ARAP bin was better but didn't work as it should, 88 bin files worked A+ and is what we're modding on now. Any ideas?
