Any advice for a new Haltech user
Any advice for a new Haltech user
Looking for any pitfalls when I start programing my Haltech? Fuel tables, spark advance, load? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, unfortunately I don't have any tips yet since I haven't started using mine. But please, if you get tips or as you learn, post here because I'll be starting my project sometime in the next couple of months and like you, can use all the help I can get.

Hank,
I don't have specific experience with the Haltech controller. But, if you have any specific questions concerning fueling or timing let me know.

Traxion, thanks I will pose some questions once I get it installed. The Haltech lets you program on the fly, gotta like that. It does not support a knock sensor and is a MAP system. Programming is pretty straight forward and I like the fact you don't have to replace chips. I'll keep the group feedback concerning the installation and programming.

fastbroker,
Excellent idea. Unfortunately I am pressed for time due to work but when I get a chance I will post some tables. Anyone else have tables that they would like to share?

I have some 1227747 spark/fuel tables that I have not yet burned but are derived from Edelbrock ProFlo tables. ProFlo was dyno tuned so I assume that these are good tables to start with. I used the proFlo and had no ping anywhere withsome pretty aggresive curves, well, agressive in certain areas, not others. Nice.
Trax, the data is now mainly in Excel or tunerCat. How can I get this data here?????
We should start a new toic for this, ie/ "Spark/Fuel tabkes"

chillz,
Haven't got the Haltech in yet, I just finished a cam, head, header swap and want to get that straight first. I have to wire the MAP sensor to the computer plugs (no biggie) then I should be up and away. In fact I've got to go and get a lap top I bought on Ebay.....
I'll post here with my MAPS and good stuff.
