OK, I bought it, hoping it is a TPI SD ECM... I dunno how to check, it was REAL cheap, so either way, it doesnt matter.

Does this ECM have VATS in it? If so, what can I do about that? It might be going into an 88 TA with a 355 TBI, the engine is newer than an 88. Have any ideas if it will work?? And does anyone know how to identify harnesses? Thanks All.

 

Yes it is a VATS ECM. Read the other post on TBI non-VATS for the correct chip number for it. Brent, question for you. I picked up a 127730 ECM. I went to your link, but it doesn't show up on the list. I was told it is for a 90-92 TPI. I picked it up because I was planning a conversion from TBI to TPI. What is it? TIA, Lon.

 

Lonsal: take another look. It is on the P4 page of ECMS not the C3's. I'm sure its just a typo but the number is 1227730.

Yes that is the ECM for the 90-92 TPI F-body's.
