Ostrich question

i know this has been asked before but i cant find the post. with the Ostrich how does it work do i need to keepit in the car or do install a flashrom and upload to the ecm or what ??? thanks

Transmission: T5 5-Speed
Axle/Gears: 9-Bolt 3.45
You edit & load the bin from a PC with Tuner Pro RT to Ostrich, and then run the car off of Ostrich.

Ostrich is a PROM Emulator only.

so then i would tune to the desired spec with the ostrich and burn that prom right?

You can install the Ostrich permanantly (just like the Prominator). No need to burn chips, etc. It's always recommended that you carry a known-good chip in your vehicle, however, regardless of the hardware you're using.

Once you decide that the car runs well enough, you can burn a PROM, then remove and sell the Ostrich. Of course you will need to buy a PROM burner too.

To be cleear, burning the PROM is optional. If you're like me, the car never runs well enough, since there are always changes to be made and new parts being swapped in.

ok fair enough but i figured i could tune both my camaros with 1 unit but u are right once i start tuning u cant stop
