Is there a way to get rid of vats withut burning the chip? I want to put a chip out of a 89vette in my car as a bandaid untill dfi. If it has to be taken off the chip, did the 86 vettes have vats? Has anyone done this before?

 

Read down about 20 messages. Many of the earlier posts were related to VATS removal. Also, check the tech articles, There is one written on this very subject (which I haven't read yet).

I will be exploring this too, If I get ahold of the '89 chip I intend on using on my '86. I'm more interested in removing the coldstart valve, the VATS deal is just a by-product of using a newer chip.
