IAC steps set with OBDII. Please help!!!!

Hi,

I did an IAC interchange between my 2.8 OBDI & my 3.1 GM OBDII cars in order to check an idle failure in my 2.8, but when I replaced the stock IAC in my 3.1 OBDII, my idle was @ 2500 RPM. Now, how can I reset the IAC steps in my 3.1 OBDII car?.

Any help please. The 3.1 is the car of my wife!

Thanks in advance,

Denis V.

iac position is reset automatically every powerdown.

if after running, shutting it off, waiting 30 seconds, and restarting it - you don't have a proper idle speed, then something else is wrong. maybe the replacement IAC has the wrong pintle shape, is defective, didn't seal up right, somehow you created a vacuum leak, ....

Oh, Thank friend

Stupid me. I was running the car with IAC disconnected. Last night I opened the hood and saw it. Then, I connected the IAC and ready! Problem was out (SES light remains ON).

Now, I must eliminate the SES light (OBDII). Any idea?,

thanks again,

Denis V.
