Ford SVO 24# injectors
What exactly is the dfference between these and the 22# GM ones. I know both are Bosch (Except the Multecs), but what is the difference in flow rates? Ford uses a diff. method to measure this correct? How do you compensate when programming? Do you need to know the exact flow rate differences? I don't understand how to swap from one to the other and then compensate the fuel tables. I am still in the learning process of programming proms (hell, I still need a burner!!) so if anyone could explain this in 'baby' speak I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks!

The GM injectors are rated at 43.5 PSI. The SVO injectors are rated at something like 37 PSI. After doing the math you find that the 24lb/hr SVO injectors actually flow close to 26lb/hr once you rate them according to GM's pressure value. In order to program a PROM for the new injectors simply change the injector flow rate constant from 22 to 26lb/hr. List more info such as the make/model of your car and I can be more helpful. But, that is pretty much it in a nutshell.

Thanxs Trax! Just what I needed! Anywhere you know to verify the pressure the ford ones are tested?
Also anyone know of any quirks in fuel flow through the SVO ones? I've heard here and there of some problems when in high duty rate.

Lots of injectors get crazy at small PWs so you just need to not get too large in your selection.
