I use Diacom+ and I like it very much. I translate the .GDF files into .DBF files and then import them into Excel for graphing. If you know Excel, you can do a lot of manipulation to produce some very revealing information.
Unfortunately, Diacom+ is not cheap but it is very easy to use. While being a DOS based package may seem to be a disadvantage, it actually is an advantage in allowing you to use it on a DIRT CHEAP 386 or 486 notebook that people can't give away.
As to what all the data means and how to interpret it, that is where this board comes in. I am constantly noticing interesting relationships, which leads me to asking "why is this happening" which leads me to "what is my engine asking for".
It is all comes to you in time as you play with it and will assist you in burning the "perfect PROM", which is the real goal to all of this analysis.
