The mag sensors in the transmission is 4000 ppm. For the MAF cars the 4-out buffer divides it by 2 for 2000 ppm to the ECM. The SD cars have the VSS signal fed directly to the ECM.

Earlier cars used an optical pickup mounted to the back of the speedometer. This is a 2000 ppm and drove the ECM directly. If you still have a speedo you may be able to retro fit one. I'll bet the mounting point on the speedo is still present on the cable driven ones. then it is 3 wires: ign switched +, ground, and signal to ECM.

I don't believe a 700r4 vss will fit the th350, however, here are some interesting options:

D8A: OE #10456131 has a cable output and a signal output.
D8B: OE #10456132 looks to be the same as D8A.

Thanks Rob,
I know the vss does not fit - But I bought a cyberdyne retro fit, its 8000 ppm and has 3 wire hook up.. Guess thats why it does not work.. And I think its ac and ours are dc.
Thats pretty cool with the optical on back of speedo, but I just get the right
vss.. thansk.

Jaguars That Run sell cable/vss modules.
I picked one up for my T350.
Just call them, it's easier, and they don't sell the little extension cable anymore even though they list it...or used too.

Did you get my PM a while back????

Well,
10456131 just came from parts direct - it ment to go into a 700 tail and have a cable output.. unfortunately I need the opposite.. But it looks like if I use an extention cable it should work..
Anyone know where to get the extention cable?

Z69:

I know of a place in CA if you can't find one that makes cables.
Check with your local speedometer shop.
