Guess we gave them too much business and they decided to capitalize on it.

Maybe it's time to talk "group purchase"?

I've heard of an internal tweak, but that is rumor only.
Also, supply and demand.
Inflation, etc..
Bought mine several years ago and was 129...

Talk to Hondo about the WB O2 Doubling price overnight from 130 to 240.

I called them and asked and they said they now include the updated DOS & Windows version of the software. What came with it before?

I just got mine today (it was $129) , and it came with both DOS and windows versions.
I haven't tried the windows version to do anything yet.
It is a single file program too, no dll's or
anything, just the .exe file

The pocket programmer only came with the DOS version when i got it about a month ago. I think instead of the 149.99 and you getting the extra software, you should be able to choose if you want to spend the extra 20 to get the Windows software.

What's the deal /w/ Windows-based, any strict advantage? I did see on one of the DOS updates that there was some potential Atmel capability (nice for those of us with other hobbies ), but upon discussion with Transtronics, it appeared that the code required additional hardware. I'm fine /w/ what I've got, but always looking for more.

Pocket programmer price increase

We are still offer the best deal on a eprom programmer. This is the first price increase for many years.

The new product comes with windows software that will eventually completely replace the DOS version.

If anyone has material that is car related for the programmer please send it to efi@xtronics.com - we are setting up a web page with just that type of information. Also if you have any complaints, wishes for future versions etc please let me know at karl@xtronics.com.
