This would be a really cool idea. I'd be willing to host it on my webserver or FTP server if everybody's willing to "chip-in" with some .bin's so we can have a collection going

whatever we do, let's give the BINs a better explanation than what's on the gm_ecm site. Some of the BINs only have a broadcast code as the description!

The BIN repository at the DIY website has more BINS than we could ever put together. Go to www.diy-efi.org\gmecm

FTP is fine for some media, but it really cannot compare to a fully searchable file database for something as important as finding the ideal file for your tuning needs.
We have developed such a database as our contribution to the DIY community.

The files were originally from the DIY ftp site. We developed some fairly elaboarate screening software to check the files for OEM authenticity, etc., and the numerous duplicates were removed. This left over 500 valid stock OEM binary files!!

All information such as description, transmission, part number, scan id, platform, emissions, etc., was obtained by matching each binary file against the official GM bcc catalog, so this information is extremely accurate.

The memcal / eprom part number for each binary file is linked directly to the Gmpartsdirect site. If you want to purchase the actual memcal for your custom tuning work, or just need a few extra, this linking feature is quite convenient.

This system also offers full upload capabilty, and we have offered to characterize any stock binary file uploaded to our system which would then be subsequently added to the database. The file database has been available for several months now.. we have had ONE upload. Not a big concern for us, but thought it might be of interest.

You can access the file download database directly from the GMPCM Website.

Wow some of these were my bins from years ago. The 870 and the 7730

I would like to see a timing map from a manual car with a aggressive cam.
Thanks
