Chip not reading MAF
Installed a 1988 350 GM chip after a engine swap. Everything runs find except the SES light comes on intermitingly and later goes
out. Checking the codes indicates"not reading
MAF sensor" Engine runs great. Will this new
chip adjust to the MAF?? Note, this is a computer from 1987 305 engine. Any help or
ideas would be appreciated.

Sounds like either one of the MAF relays is fritzing out and needs to be replaced, or your MAF sensor itself is intermittently dying and may need to be replaced, or perhaps the wiring or harness connector is damaged and shorting out. I had no problems with my MAF sensor switching from '87 to '89 code in my '87 IROC.
