carb chips

I have a question about the use of chips w/ q-jets in 82's. i have an 82, and i am going to be replacing my 305 w/ a 350, and the carb and stuff to non emmissions. does this chip control anything else i should be worried about changing it out for, such as tranny or what not? thanks

There are numerous items the ecm controls, most importantly the timing.

Get ahold of the ZZZ engine installation manual, and just use the parts and prom they recommend. Those are without a doubt the best bits I've been able to find on a CCC carb set up.
