i will assume it is likely. what may be the items i need to address to prevent or minimize the likelyhood of a CE?

IAT not yet installed yet but it is in my 8746 and wired and ready. i think i need to disable till i instal the sensor. right?

is there a disable flag in TP ?

 

In the doc it is under 'Malfunction Diagnostic Test Parameters' (table of contents).

Then the IAT has two entries: hi and lo failures.

In TP:

Malf Flags - 12 thru 24, IAT23 - intake air temperature failure, low
Malf Flags - 25 thru 42, IAT25 - intake air temperature failure, high
