MAP values?
MAP values?
Guys,
I have some questions on this SD tuning that i've been trying to under take. I start the car, let it warm up, get some info and find that the map sensor hold at 11-13hg? Is that about accurant at idle? Please review the car in the sig. I want to make sure i don't have any mechanical problems before i begin changing things. I read everywhere else that their map values are atleast a little higher and those are stock motors.

11-13Hg?!? What the heck is that??! ROFL, j/k, j/k (I am so use to kPa that I have forgotten Hg ... lol). Anyhow, that corresponds to 37.3-44kPa. For the 219 LPE cam that is pretty good. I would actually expect to see LESS vacuum but hey ... more vacuum is better
I would say you are good to go.

Now THAT is more like it. 60kPa? Cool. I was seeing about 55kPa with my 218/224 cam. 60kPa for the 219 sounds about right to me.

Yep, the tuning begins. I'm still having problems getting any other than the usual KPA values... in this part of Ohio(north western part) its really flat... the ONLY hills are like overpass bridges. I'm not real sure as to how to use TC's graphing function. It seems that if i make the graph look pretty that my car is way out of tune when i run it again and fix the one colums values the graph looks all jumbled up and not so pretty so to speak.
