Auto Xray

Who has it and how do they like it on their TBI. Is there any problems with driving the car and using it. I have heard some people having problems with it staying in diagnostic mode and want to how good it is.

Moved to DIY_EPROM board.
My advice is get it if you are going to be doing a lot of hotrodding. If you have a stock engine don't bother, just go to a mechanic and ask them to give you the error codes and check everything over.
If you burn eproms then it isn't a question, you'll NEED a scan tool of some sorts.

this post is for people how have used it on 91-92 TBI that is why it was on the TBI Boards. I want to make sure there are not any problems with driving the car while using this. I have seen on other posts where people have had problems whith how it makes the car react if you use it while driving.

Don't question my reasons for moving to this board. The people that use scanners (hand held and laptop) are on this board. As for having problems....I've never heard this unless the scanner puts the car into ALDL mode. There are a few different modes for the ecm. The aldl isn't very useful, at least it hasn't been in my case. I use Diacom and my link mode is "normal" which doesn't cause the SES light to stay on. If there is a way to hook up the autoxray so that it doesn't cause aldl, do that and you shouldn't have any problems.
