can someone please help me with this Pocket Pro

I'm trying to gey my stock chip download so I can started. But evertime I try to open it it tells me it corrupted or something.Im not sure if I'm doing everthing in the right order.WOuld it be to much to ask some to put in step by step idot proof words. From starting the program to getting it opened once I get to tuner cat.I started the program picked the correct eprom inserted chip and tried several methods but nothing seems to be working for me.Although one time I did put the chip in the programmer befor picking the eprom did this hurt anything.

It could hurt. Always specify the chip type (27c128 or 27c256 for most of us) prior to inserting the chip, otherwise the voltage could be off and damage the chip. If the chip is not stock but aftermarket, a program like TunerCat could have some problems if the values are juggled around, which they typically are. Otherwise, the chip read should be pretty straightforward.

If you can't get it to work for whatever reason and the chip works OK in the car, you may try using my program to dump the EPROM content throught the ALDL into a file which you can edit directly with TunerCat or WinBin or whatever.
