and I had another question... I am going to do this myself but I simply don't know jack about this. How can I modify the chip to work with my 160 thermo, and ploished intakes??? I don't know what to change and what not... just asking for help. I just don't want to spend 2 days doing something that is wrong.(and could possibly damage the engine)

there is a bin library at diy-efi.org, I forget if it's under GMECM or DIY-EFI, but it's there.

At DIY-EFO.Org in incoming is a tuning.doc
might try reading that. Also, just going thru the past posts here is a good idea

Yes, just go to www.diy-efi.org and then go to GMECM and then click on the link for FTP Downloads.

It will bring up a page much Windows Explorer for looking in your directories and select the "BIN_LIB" folder and all BINs are listed in there: one group within a particular folder with the ECM's name and another with the all the BINs with their Broadcast Code.

What editor are you going to use? I have not been able to find a decent .ecm file for winbin on the 7727 I am using for a 92 olds cutlass 3.1 V6. I thought that the 7730 .ecm files would work, but they are fubar as far as some of the data parameters are concerned, so it is not reading in the bin info correctly. It sounds like we are working on somewhat related stuff, so maybe would could collaborate a bit.
I also desperatly need a decent .ecu file for the 89-90 Turbo Grand Prix 3.1 L. It uses the same 1227727 PCM, but I am sure the data tables difer from the NA aspirated 3.1's.
