Coolant sensor issue

I plug in Diagnostic and get a error of coolant sensor . i have replaced sensor and get same code. My temp gauge works fine and have cleared code and it comes right back. Could use some ideas.

The error code relates to the sensor going to the ECM. The sensor going to the dash is a different one. On most TPI's, the ECM Coolant temp sensor is on the front edge of the base and has 2 pins on it. Check that the wiring going to it is not frayed, etc etc. Also, check that you replaced the ECM senor and not the gage sensor. -Matt-

thats the sensor. *If unplug it gauge does not work. now you say there are to sensors. All i know is the one on the right side of the motor middle of block is coolant fan sensor and onthe left front side of block is temp sensor. So where is this second temp sensor or aka other sensor.

It's in the Base Manifold in the FRONT of the engine. Remove the serpentine belt and you cannot miss it.

It is NOT the one on the driver's side head (between cyls #1 & #3...that's the guage) and on the passenger side head.

PS: What does this have to do with PROM Burning? Your question would be better served on the Tech/General Board.
