Question about winbin

In winbin how do you change from a 5 speed to auto? Because I have a saved bin for a car with almost exactly my exact same mods just the difference in transmissions. Also what else should I change when doing this? All I see is a bunch of abbreveations I dont understand. Sorry to bug you guy's but I'm just learning. Thanks

I load the prgram and load the buffer, I got that part down but thats about it for now. Oh yeah, I know how to test to see if is a blank chip also. BTW I burned one earlier and it onlt took about 20 seconds to burn. Why so fast?

You could try using a different definition file ( .ecm), sounds like the one you are using may need a bit of work with the correct labeling of the flags. Finding a good Winbin definition file for your application may be quite a challenge (many of those that I have looked at are only semi-complete at best), or in a case such as mine, a fruitless effort. Perhaps I just look in the wrong directories on the ftp site, but that is highly unlikely. I do hope you have better luck in your efforts, and I wish I could have been of more assistance.

Having a manual bin. really isn't a help. The difference in how the engine sees the load thru a converter as compared to a clutch is entirely different.

I generally respond to postings that go unanswered, so when you post to your own posting it looks at a glance like you've gotten help. It's only when out of things to do that I go thru things post by post.

Thanks for your help, but has anybody ever done this bin mod with any success? How did you do it. I'm trying to mod the bin file on Blades site now because its even closer to my car except the T-5.

It is the top one in custom chips 90-92. Thanks
