Well..I should have listened to you guys. I just got my 406 running yesterday. I gave A certain vendor my specs for a custom chip. And so far It sucks, I set the minimum air and IM getting 108 and 80 On the intergrator and BLMs. I think thats how you word it. My o2s at idle are 924-940s, I should have taken the cash and bought the stuff to do it myself. IM just not very good with computers.

IM stuck now I need this car for work. I told them all my specs including that I would be using 30# svos. I told them about setting the injector constant to 33. They still screwed it up.

What would happen If I used a stock chip for a 350 sd car? I wonder if it would run even richer?

No comment on designer chip, and the stock ship would be really rich also.

Thanks for the reply Grumpy..Thats what I thought It would run rich. I might just give it a try to see if it would help at all.

I tried to drop the fuel pressure but the crane unit i have will only drop to 44psi.

Mike, I am finding that "just because" injectors are rated at a specific flow, doesn't mean that SHOULD be the number you use in the Injector Constant.

A friend that I am helping has 30# SVOs on his 383 Miniram, Competion AFR 195 heads (plus other assorted goodies). We are currently working with the MAF system, though we will ultimately go SD.

Initially, the Injector Constant was set to 33 but we found he was running too lean. So we played with the Injector Constant to get ALL of the readings as close to 128 as possible (or let's say half above and half below). We ended up using 28.9#s and got everything close (but still no cigar).

Now we have the joy of recalibration the MAF Scalar tables to get everything as close to 128/128 as we can. I still predict that WOT will be a pain though. But the engine is not broken in and we are still working on idle and part throttle.

Any chance of returning your prom, getting your money cheerfully refunded and buying the equipment?

Hey Glenn.. you friend is lucky to have you helping him. My wife and I were just talking and I plan to call them and try to get my money back. Or another chip Something for my money.

I just made an appointment with a local dyno shop(TuneTech auto)on the 17th. They are in Clearwater, Steve said he can burn me one on the dyno. I just dont want to play the game of sending the chip back for reburns. I learned my lesson on that one.

I think IM going to let Steve Tune it on the dyno. I have to get this thing going soon or I will be walking to work.
