How do decifer MAP reading?
Running an E6 ECM for a 93 chevy truck, in tunerpro RT. I don't understand how to read my MAP sensor reading, all it shows is DC volts which varies from 12 to 15 volts it looks like.

I would check the .ADS file. The MAP voltage runs from 0 - 5 volts. Either it is using the wrong location or the conversion equation is incorrect.

ok, so even if i did edit the ads file to show 0-5 volts, how would i find out what the kpa reading is from that?
Add an item for MAP kpa.
It should look similar to the below which is for $8D.
Which means your byte # may be different.
The big diff is the factor which is 100/255 for kpa.
For volts, it's 5/255.

The 18th byte of the ALDL stream is MAP in ADC counts (0-255). To convert that value directly to KPa use this equation:
KPa = (ADC * 0.369) + 10.415
The ADC being the ALDL stream value. Referring to the image Z69 posted, put the value 0.369 into the Factor box, 10.415 into the Offset box, and 18 into the Byte Number box. That should do it.

OK that looks like it worked! thanks RBob! i'm getting about 30 map at idle, 40-70 map between 0-20 percent throttle. it looks like my datastream def file doesn't have nearly as much as what Z69's have, would it be possible to grab some values out of another file and use it in mine? thought my ecm is a E6, i'm using a 0D file.

I just noticed a bit of a difference between the values in both of the example that were given here, in Z69's table there is no offset and in RBob's table there is. I put both of them in and I get about a 6 kpa difference in map. which one is correct in my situation?
