with "whats up EBL" i see my TPS % increase as i depress the gas ing on-engine off. it his a definitive test that my sensor is properly functioning? or is a voltmeter test validating smoothness a better test?

Problems with the TPS sensor usually show up as dead spots in acceleration. This is from the lack of AE. Or, DE being activated as the signal drops (like the gas pedal was lifted).

Can use the WUD to check it as you have done. Just move the gas pedal slowly and watch the bar graph. It should react smoothly to pedal changes. A worn out TPS is usually at and off idle. This is where the most usage occurs.
