What Winbin ECU file is compatible with my setup?
Ok, here is what I have.
86 Trans Am 305 5speed originally an LG4. Now it has an 87 TPI setup converted to Speed Density sitting on top of it.
I bought a new prom from the dealer for a 90-92 305 5 speed TPI car.
I need to disable the VATS and EGR.
Also, my car has the speedo wired from the tranny to the VSS buffer then to the speedo in the cluster. I am not running the VSS throught the ECM harness.
Will I need to disable the VSS in the prom programming?
I finally received my Pocket Programmer2 and my blank proms, 2 29 series eeproms and 2 27 series eproms.
Where can I find an ECU file for winbin so that I know that I am modifying the correct info.
This is my first attempt at a TPI swap AND at programming chips.
I have read a lot of the articles for DIY_ECM and programming
Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks,

I'm guessing, but if you have a 90 speed density, you need the 730 or 7730 ecu file. Whichever ECU file has the last 3 or 4 numbers of the ECM part number in it.
Winbin should come with it, if not, I'll mail it to you.

Mike Davis emailed me and told me that the one I got from him should work.
