Ostrich!

Hey, i was just wondering if when i purchased this emulator, would it come with everything that I needed to get going? Or would I have to purchase some other compenents seperately.

Also, does it allow me to datalog??

the ostrich will allow you to use compatible tuning software (ie.. tunerpro rt, c.a.t.s ect..)to edit the the binary which would now be on the eeprom on the ostrich, the ostrich then emulates the chip in realtime to the ecu.

datalogging will need to be done with a seperate aldl device

ps: if your going to buy the ostrich there is a group buy going on, so you may get it cheaper if purchased before oct31

Depending on what ECU you're using you'll need to adapt it to accept the Ostrich. All needed is available from Craig Moates.

yup, forgot to mention, you could use an adapter such as
G1 Memory Adapter: TPI ETC.. [G1] - $35.00 : Moates.Net
or
- They're IN!! Memcal adapters for all!
which is cheaper than moates :P

you can pm ryan.hess and ask about an aldl cable too

or you can just cut the guts (PROM) out of your existing memcal. then just plug the ostrich into that.
