xdf questions
i read a post where you had advised another person to use the 61v2 xdf for his mask 62 16136965ecm i tried this and it doesn't seem to work. it tells me there are 7 cylinders, my bpw is 240 and my timing is 67.Deg. i tried to use the difference tool to look at the data from both axbf.bin and aujj.bin and there is 4,000 lines of data that arent similar. i tried to edit the .xdf but tunerpro wont let me have access to it. did you possibly password it? could i reverse engineer the 61 to work with the 62? i know about the ebl but i need to have air,egr and the charcoal canister hooked up and working. not to mention that the wife wants my nuts for having spent the money on engine and hadnt planned on doing chip tuning (wasnt aware of tuning at the time). the emmissions a$$ clowns visually inspect all of my vehicles because of a monte carlo i built a couple of years ago. any help would be appreciated. i have read through the guide and thru all of the deep tuning articles. i have read most of the posts from when this forum started in 2000 and still have many questions. i bought the autoprom usb version nearly a year ago but was only recently able to buy a laptop to run it.
i have been to the diy-efi org site there is only a possible .s19 file and i got it. there is nothing on moates and i have downloaded tunercat but really want to use tunerpro. i think i have forgot to mention something bu the jack danielss is interfeering.

As you found out, can not use the $61 XDF with the $62 code. I have hac'd enough of the $62 code to find the SA and VE tables. But not much further. In order to tune it can swap in an '8746 ECM. Some of the pins need to be changed from the '6965, but it will work.
Have you tried a net search for a $62 XDF? There seems to be a lot of folks using that ECM via the vehicle base it came in. Another option is TunerCAT, probably has TDF support for it.
The EBL now has EGR & CCP functionality. If you could rig up the AIR. . .
RBob.

61v2.xdf error?
Regarding the 61v2 xdf, I noticed the PW constants were all showing up as 0.00 except for one, and that value was wrong. I switched them from 8-bit to 16-bit and now they all appear correctly. Was this the correct fix or is there some other reason why they weren't showing up correctly for me? I attached some screen shots which reflect the change (note that I also changed the units to msec, from usec, for each constant).

i have tuner cat and payed for the tdf. i was actually trying to use tunerpro to support Mangnus and use his product. therein is why i asked the question. i read a thread where it was suuggested to try the 61v2 for the 36965 but it was obviously unsuccessful. i have a 8746 from an 89 9c1 and was just going to take the data from my 8747 454 ss computer to run the motor but use most of the other strategies to continue to run the rest of the car(typical rant from beginer). i just got my bonus so it looks like i will be in contact with you shortly(rbob) for ebl. coincidently about a.i.r. its only there to help light off the cat, give false lean signal to o2, and increase the rust in precat exhaust, and just generally **** you off when trying to change manifold gaskets or convert to headers. only really improves emissions during short trip and warm up
and as always thank you so very much for the help.

Straight from the hack file;
Code:
LD263: FDB 65 ; max sync bpw to exit async fuel, 992usec LD265: FDB 45 ; min sync bpw to enter async fuel, 687usec LD267: FDB 26 ; injector bias, added to bpw, 396usec LD269: FDB 786 ; max async bpw, 12msec LD26B: FDB 45 ; min async bpw, 687usec
I've corrected the xdf file and sent it too Mark Mansur for posting on his TunerPro website. You could do a service by posting a thread on both the TBI and Tuning board here on TGO.
Thanks.
, Jon
edit: HAHA, I thought I was replying to a PM, not a thread! oops. Ignore that last sentence.
