stock or aftermarket PROM

Have 85 Z28 with rebuilt 350, 270 comp cam, ported 305 heads and 305 TPI setup. I need to know can I keep stock 305 PROM for now? Then later on should I get Stock 350 Prom or aftermarket? How much should I look at spending on this. Also who can you get them from?

Well if you've got a MAF TPI setup I think you'd be better off getting the stock 350 eprom. It's rule of thumb to get an eprom that has a similar bore to stroke ratio, bore being more important. That's why I would use a 350 eprom in a 302 or 327. I don't know the details about it but that's what I've gathered from the board members. As for getting aftermarket...don't. Make sure you adjust your fuel pressure for the best mph and what not. Lucky you have MAF, it'll be better adjusted to the change than a speed density system. Either way, a custom eprom is the ONLY way to go as far as eproms are conserned. We have yet to see any off the shelf eprom do anything special.
