Congrats on the swap. Which bin did you use? What are your mods to achieve 14 seconds?

To get it on the road I bought a memcal from an 87 305 auto with the highest gear ratio for that year. Its been over a month since I bought it and I dont remember which bin it was. sorry

As far as mods I've got an auburn pro series posi, richmond 3.73's, crane flat tappet cam, true dual exhaust with H-pipe 2 1/2 front to rear, porting from heads to TB, transgo shift kit, uhmm....
other stuff Most of the better mods are listed, but like most of us there's plenty of little ones

I did the same swap a few months ago.The swap definetly gave me more power. The 85 ecm has a slight delay like a carb.Have you tried the 89 bin.I would have to say the 89 bin is better than the 87.Have you heard of the site "my 85 Z28 and eprom project"?It helped me alot. The site is like a bible on the subject.I did do something different.Instead of running new wires for the maf relay I just used spare/deleted wires in the harness. That way I did'nt have to reach behind the fender and fish wires through.

Fortunatly for me I got the harness with the ecm, so the maf relays were there and easy to use, as far as getting them through the firewall I just chased the ECM harness through the bay, through the fender, and into the side and drilled a hole put a gromet around it and called it good. Yea i've seen the site, a GREAT help!
I think I'm noticing some gains as well..
but thats only the @$$ dyno and I probably just want to justify my work
