New be with tuning problems!

Hello I am Sjaak from the netherlands. a very new be. Just start with tuning. I have a 84 crossfire vette. using the 7747 ecm with prominator and i begin with the starter bin. only chanche the BPW start the car,it idle ok but with cold engine put alittle trottle and engine almost die. running much to rich. when above 60 celcius run much better but a lot of back fire. then i change the AE vs TPS table [ i doublle it] when engine cold still **** but when warm up runs ok no backfire anymore. does the ecm when cold not reading the new BPW??? or do i forget something else,or do something wrong???? Hope somebody can help me[i don't know how to post my bin]

Thanks Sjaak

The BPW does not affect the AE. The AE is entirely pulse width based.

There is also a CTS based table to change the AE PW. May need to change that some.

I just checked a bunch of ECU files I have here, and none of them have the AE vs CTS table in them. It can be added to the XDF using TP's built in editor. Here is the table location and layout:
Code:
; FACTOR COOL Deg c
;-------------------------------------
LD40C:	FCB 160 ; COLD
	FCB 160 ; -8.5
	FCB 144 ; 6.0
	FCB 112 ; 15.5
	FCB 96 ; 23.5
	FCB 96 ; 30.5
	FCB 80 ; 37.0
	FCB 75 ; 43.3
	FCB 64 ; 49.3
	FCB 46 ; 56.0
	FCB 36 ; 63.0
	FCB 32 ; 71.0
	FCB 28 ; 80.0
	FCB 24 ; 91.0
	FCB 24 ; 107.0
	FCB 24 ; 138.5
	FCB 24 ; HOT
Also, double check the VE FL1 table layout. Many of the ECU/XDF files have the RPM & MAP axis reversed. No fun trying to tune as the wrong areas of the table will be changed. The TP window for the VE FL1 table should have 100 through 20 down the left side (MAP). Then 4 - 8 - 12 - 16 - 20 - 24 - 28 - 32 across the top (RPM x 100).

@RBob I think it's to far in the dark room for me. I use TunerPro RT and find the Hex Editor but i don't know how to make changes in the .xdf I Read until my eyes are tired in the tuning stuff. to understand it. Is it possible that I e-mail my bin in txt to you so that you maybe can take a short look on it??
