XDF Tunerpro Q?

Occasionally TP asks when I close application whether I wish to save a modified XDF. How is it I modified it and should it be saved ? I saved it today and past year I never saved it. why would anyone ever wish to change a XDFt?

I often write things into the "item comments" box as I learn what the different items do and how they work. You have to save the XDF to keep these comments. I'm sure there are other reasons for saving a XDF also.
