I got some new hardware to play w/ THe AutoProm. Im workin with a tbi caprice and sent the computer out to get the g2 adaptor installed and was tryin to read my stock chip to get the .bin off of it w/ the Flash & Burn software. I go to the 2732a read only chip and click read chip. In the window it says PROM I/O succeeded so then i go to try saving file from buffer and it says only 1 byte written and then doesnt do anything. i can see the fiel if i click on edit buffer but yea...how do i read and save?

 

I had that smae problem only with a differnt chip.
My problem was the orientation of the chip and adaptor.

Try looking at the moates documentation pages.

Make sure you know what way your chip goes in.

In the flash and burn there is a little picture of how the chip should sit.
